Neurocore Is Discovering This One Very Interesting Thing That Make Athletes Better

Neurocore Brain Performance Centers has discovered that what athletes call “being in the zone” is an actual thing where muscle memory takes over. This means that thought is put on the back-burner and decisions become much easier to make. Dr. Tim Royer has studied this phenomenon for some time and works with Neurocore Brain Performance Centers to get to the bottom of it. During times of high stress, it has been discovered that people are more forgetful and can even cause people to process the way they remember things differently. In fact, it has been found that the way that athletes recover has a large effect on their focus and ability to make clear decisions. Learn more about Neurocore at Crunchbase.

It has also been discovered that sleep is highly important to being in a relaxed state more often and that stress makes it so that more adrenaline and cortisol are released into the body. Athletes find that when they don’t recover properly after a big game that they are more tired and stressed out than ever before. The problem is that when they don’t recover they are keeping their brain and body in a heightened state that is similar to the fight-or-flight response where hormones are delivered to the body that usually help us to get out of a bad situation. These hormones when left in the body, by not really being used, cause damage. Read more about Neurocore at glassdoor.com.

Neurocore are finding that the best thing that an athlete can do is to recover properly. The Portland Trail Blazers basketball team is beginning to take to the idea and is using what is called a “Brain Room” where its players can learn to focus better and de-stress. Training sessions can take up to 30 minutes, and they are revealing some very interesting things. When a players mind is not focused during a session, the video they are watching will stop. When they re-focus, the video plays again. This is showing scientists and athletes that the brain can focus much better than we think it can. Brain training is the next new thing that will allow athletes to perform at their absolute best.
